Succession and Development of
Traditional Crafts for the Future

Traditional crafts from all over Japan will be gathered at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, a site for “designing a bright future for life.” Just as Osaka was once known as the “kitchen of the nation” during the Edo Period, and was a center of logistics and commerce, traditional crafts from all over Japan will be gathered in Osaka, providing a colorful brilliance for the event.
Furthermore, when that brilliance meets the participants, dialogues will arise and create an opportunity to think of co-creation for the future. We aim to make the brilliance of each craft and each participant into a great energy, becoming the first step toward the spiral development of traditional crafts in the future.
